Automatic replies allows you to set a message to let people know you will not be responding immediately. This article will show you how to turn on or modify automatic replies and how to disable automatic replies:

Outlook Client
Step 1 - In the Outlook client, click "File" tab on the upper-left corner. This will take you to "Account Information".
Step 2 - In "Account Information", select "Automatic Replies (Out of Office)"
Step 3 - To enable automatic replies, select "Send automatic replies"
Step 4 - Once enabled, you may choose to specify a date and time range by checking "Only send during this time range:".
Step 5 - For your reply message, you may choose to only send the message internally or/and externally as well. "Inside My Organization" tab will send the message you people inside of Michener or have @michener.ca email address.
"Outside My Organization (Off)" tab will send the message to external people. Click the tab and check "Auto-reply to people outside my organization" to send to people outside of Michener.
Step 6 - Click "OK" to apply the automatic reply.
Webmail
Step 1 - Log in to Outlook at https://outlook.office.com using your Michener email and password.
Step 2 - Click the gear icon by the upper-right corner.
Step 3 - Click "View all Outlook settings" located near the bottom.
Step 4 - Navigate to Mail > Automatic replies
Step 5 - To enable automatic replies, select "Turn on automatic replies"
Step 6 - Once enabled, you may choose to specify a date and time range by checking "Send replies only during a time period:"
Step 7 - For your reply message, you may choose to only send the message internally or/and externally as well. "Send automatic replies inside your organization" will send the message you people inside of Michener or have @michener.ca email address.
If you would like to send it externally as well, check "Send replies outside your organization" and enter your message.
Step 8 - Click "Save" to apply the automatic reply.
Step 9 - You will received a notification that automatic replies has been enabled.
Turn off automatic replies
Outlook Client
Step 1 - In the Outlook client, click "File" tab on the upper-left corner. This will take you to "Account Information".
Step 2 - In "Account Information", press the "Turn off" bottom next to Automatic Replies to disable.
Webmail
Step 1 - Log in to Outlook at https://outlook.office.com using your Michener email and password.
Step 2 - Click the gear icon by the upper-right corner.

Step 4 - Navigate to Mail > Automatic replies
Step 5 - To disable automatic replies, hit the ON switch by "Automatic replies on".
Step 6 - Click "Save" to disable the automatic reply.
