Logging into Office365 Portal
Step 1 - Log into Office 365 Portal at portal.office.com with your Michener email & password.
Step 2 - Click your initials or photo on the upper-right corner and click "My account"
Step 3 - Under Security info, click "UPDATE INFO >". (You may be prompt to authenticate yourself.)
Check MFA Method
Step 1 - On the Security Info page, Default sign-in method: indicates your current MFA sign-in method.
Change MFA Method
Step 1 - In the Security Info page, click "Change" next to Default sign-in method:
In the pop-up drop down menu, choose 1 out of 4 authentication methods available.
- Phone - call
- Phone - text
- Microsoft Authenticator - notification - Preferred Method
- Authenticator app or hardware token - code
NOTE: If you are using Michener VPN, "Microsoft Authenticator - notification" is the only currently supported method.
If you are using Michener Remote Desktop, "Microsoft Authenticator - notification" or "Phone - call" are the only supported methods.
Step 2 - Complete and fill in any necessary information required. Click "Save". You will be asked to authenticate your account.
Add New MFA Method
Step 1 - To Add a new MFA method, click "+ Add method" and follow the instructions on the screen.
