You will need to download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your mobile device.

Logging into Office365 Portal
Step 1 - Log into Office 365 Portal at portal.office.com with your Michener email & password.
Step 2 - Click your initials or photo on the upper-right corner and click "My account"
Step 3 - Under Security info, click "UPDATE INFO >". (You may be prompt to authenticate yourself.)
Adding your device as a Sign-in Method
Step 1 – On Security info page, go to “+ Add method”.
Step 2 – In the pop-up windows, select “Authenticator App” from the drop down and click the “Add” button.
Step 3 – You will be asked to download the Microsoft Authenticator app, on your device. Proceed to download the app from your device’s app store.
Once the Microsoft Authenticator app has been installed on your mobile device, press “Next”
Step 4 – In the next screen, you are instructed on how to add your account. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app, add an account and select “Work or school”.
Step 5 – Scan the QR code that appears on your screen with your mobile device.
If you cannot scan the code, click “Can’t scan image?” to enter the code and URL manually.
Step 6 - On your computer, click "Next".
Step 7 - The website will then check if your app was activated successfully. You will receive a notification on your mobile device, press “Approve”.
If it stalls on this step, please click "Set up" again and try adding the account to your phone again.
Step 8 – If the authentication was successful, you will receive the message below, click "Next" to continue.
Step 9 – You will get a notification that the app was successfully registered and an Microsoft Authenticator method has been added to your Sign-in method list.
Step 10 – Change your default sign-in method by clicking “Change” next to Default sign-in method:,
Step 11 – In the pop-up window, select “Microsoft Authenticator – notification”,
Step 12 – Complete and fill in any necessary information required. Click "Save". You will be asked to authenticate your account.
On your mobile device, tap “Approve” to make the change.
