Accessing OneDrive on the Web
To access OneDrive, just log in to your email account at outlook.office.com. Click the icon in the top left corner, highlighted in red here:
A sidebar will appear. Click the “OneDrive” icon highlighted in red here:
Adding or Uploading files in OneDrive
To upload files to OneDrive, click the blue plus (+) icon in the top-left corner, then select "Files upload" from the drop-down menu. A file browser window will open, allowing you to choose the files you want to upload. Alternatively, you can drag and drop files directly into the window where it says "Your files will show up here."
Accessing OneDrive on a Windows Computer or Laptop
To access OneDrive on a Windows computer, click the Start menu and type "OneDrive" in the search bar. When the OneDrive app appears in the results, click on it to open.
You will be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft or school account.
Once signed in, open File Explorer and select “OneDrive – The Michener Institute” from the left-hand sidebar. This will give you access to your synced folders and files, such as Documents, Pictures, and Desktop.
You can upload any file by simply dragging the file onto the "OneDrive - The Michener Institute." The files will automatically sync and be saved to your OneDrive account.
Please note: For large files or recently uploaded items to OneDrive, please allow sufficient time for the files to fully sync on your device to avoid any potential data loss.
