How to Create Shareable Video Links from the Michener Video Repository
This article will describe how to share a Stream on SharePoint video link that can be accessed by students and Michener staff and faculty.
Sometimes links are created and made available to students, instead, they must request to access the video, or they may not be able to access the video at all.
This happens if the sharing permissions were not set correctly, or a limited permission link was mistakenly shared with a broader audience.
Before we go any further, make sure you have access to your course or program folders in the Michener Video Repository. If you do not have access to your folders, contact AV Services at AVService@michener.ca.
The following method has a couple of extra steps than just hitting COPY LINK, but it will ensure that you have full control of accessibility.

To share a link:
Step 1: Locate your video in your course folder. Then click on the ellipsis to the right of its name.
Step 2: In the pop-up menu, click on SHARE.
Step 3: In the Share window, click on the GEAR (i.e. SETTINGS).
Step 4: In the Link Settings window, make sure that “People in the Michener Institute” is selected and under “More Settings” select “Can’t download”.
Step 5: Then click APPLY.
Step 6: The Share window re-appears. Click on COPY LINK.
Step 7: Now paste into your course, or an email or document.
And that is how you create and share a video link.
