This article will guide you through how to log into your Michener account as a new user, and how to set up your Michener email and access other resources.
Step 1 - Ask your hiring manager for your initial login information. This will be sent to you via an email, or provided to you during your first onsite day. This will be your main account for the majority of Michener services.
Step 2 - Once you have received your login information, please log in via any onsite Michener PC to set a password as the password you were provided for first login is temporary. If you are not onsite, please follow the guide linked here to set your password via the Michener webmail.
Step 3 - Once your password has been set, you will be asked to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Follow the guide linked here to set up MFA, which is required for using your Michener account.
Step 4 - Once set up, your Michener email will automatically appear on any onsite Michener PC. If you need to access your email via an offsite PC, you will need to access it via the webmail or manually add it to your local Outlook application. Simply open Outlook and when you are prompted to enter an email address, enter your Michener email address. You will be automatically guided through the rest of the login process. Ensure you have logged into webmail and set up MFA before attempting.
Step 5 - If you have mandatory training, you will receive an email indicating so. Please follow the instructions in that email to log into the Michener Blackboard system to complete mandatory training. Any issues accessing this system can be resolved by opening a ticket with our Blackboard support desk by emailing bbsupport@michener.ca.
Step 6 - Access to other systems varies from department to department, please connect with your Manager to have them grant/request access to any additional systems required for your job duties.
